Sourcing the Timber
Every piece starts with the timber. I select wood for its grain, colour and natural character, allowing the timber itself to help guide what the finished piece will become.
The timber I use is sourced from Bawnmore Crafts in Geashill, County Offaly, run by craftsman Dominic Trimble.
From locally sourced timber in County Offaly to individually finished pieces in my Dublin workshop, each piece has a connection to Irish craftsmanship.
From Timber to Creation
Once the timber is prepared, the turning process begins. Shaping, hollowing and refining the wood reveals the form hidden within it. Each piece is individually worked, allowing the natural character of the timber to remain part of the finished piece.
